Empowering Communities Through Art

OUTREACH

PROGRAMS

At BK Digital Artscape, we believe in the transformative power of art. That’s why we’re committed to bringing art classes to veterans’ homes, nursing homes, old soldiers’ homes, and various private social organizations.

Detailed Descriptions: the benefits of art therapy are enormous and self-rewarding, our classes we offer (both paid and free), and currently serve communities around Metropolitan District of Washington (MDW) Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia.

BK Digital Artscape’s free art therapy sessions for veterans and nursing homes are part of our outreach programs.  BK Digital Artscape’s programs and art therapy sessions typically involve the creative process of making art to improve a person’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Art therapy can help injured and recuperating veterans improve fine motor skills, and cognitive functioning, manage stress, cope with symptoms of PTSD and TBI, and improve their sense of self-esteem and overall physical and mental health.

Creative Forces: NEA Military Healing Arts Network, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. This initiative seeks to improve the health, well-being, and quality of life for military and veteran populations exposed to trauma, as well as their families and caregivers.

BK Digital Artscape’s programs and art Will offer free and paid therapy sessions to the Vertran community to expand our reach, as we do for other diverse paid sessions. It's our token of appreciation for veterans.
